I asked for budget double room and it was fully-equipped and neat with good space. The location of this hotel not far from el hamra or beirut souks, and seaside, Downtown and Hamra Street was particularly good and fantastic.

Good value for money. Very good location. The hotel is between the old city and the corniche of Beyrouth. Also close to Hamra district. One can easily access these parts of town from the hotel. Good choice if you want to spend whole day/night around the city and just want to crash at the hotel for sleeping.
The bathroom was all that great. On the wall there is a sign saying "Don't put towel on the ground. We use it for our faces and body". Well, that's a kind warning, but then, how about putting an extra towel to put on the floor. (Considering that the shower does not have a curtain, and it is impossible to take a bath without making all the floor wet).

Cool place to stay / very simple, very basic, very much beirut / it will change, when the 5 star hotel just next to it will open its doors... till than: a lot of noise, because of the buildings building- but still- from there you arrive everywhere fast / good location!

We recently stayed at Regis in the midst of Zaituna Bey, and it was an amazing location. the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the hospitality industry. They were empathetic and professional, going above and beyond by allowing us a late checkout due to an unforeseen event. We truly appreciated their hospitality and they even invited us to check-in again for our next trip. the room was clean with ample space, and the budget-friendly price made it even better. We especially loved the fact that the staff were honest about the electricity conditions in the area.

Location near the center of the city, almost at the promenade.
Ongoing reconstructions in and around of the hotel (March 2011). Price too high for a typical tourist hotel in Middle East.

The hotel was cheap, clean and in a great location.
The power went out daily and every time the power went out - usually in the morning - we had no hot water.
